    Tanzania Mbeya Coffee Region

    • Mbeya is Tanzania’s most famous coffee-growing region, known for its high altitude and rich red volcanic soil.
    • Even with Tanzania’s delicate floral flavor profile, the Mbeya altitude makes for a dense bean with concentrated flavors. By using a “washed-process” method, the producers are able to craft a clean cup with no off-notes.
    • By keeping the roast light, we preserve the delicate floral notes that East African coffee is sought out for. Still, by pushing beyond “first-crack,” we’ve caramelized the natural sugars to create depth and balance in the finished cup.
